Growing together: two friendly matches on the road to the SEA Games 2025

The next few weeks are all about preparation. On November 26 we’ll face Nepal, and on November 29 it’s Chinese Taipei. Two friendlies in Jogjakarta, filled with sun, energy, and football. Not just matches, but important steps towards something bigger: the SEA Games 2025 in Thailand.

Nepal – fight and discipline

Nepal is no stranger in Asian women’s football. They’re known for their fighting spirit and discipline. With Sabitra Bhandari, a striker who scores in almost every match, they have a true finisher up front. Nepal plays compact, physical football, a team that forces you to be smart, control the tempo, and stay patient.

For us, this game will be a real test of focus and teamwork. Not an easy opponent, but exactly the kind of challenge that helps you grow stronger.

Chinese Taipei, experience and technique

Three days later we’ll face Chinese Taipei, a team full of experience and history in Asian women’s football. They’ve even won the AFC Women’s Cup multiple times in the past! You can see from their play that they’re used to international pressure, technical, quick, and intelligent in their choices.

For us, this is a great opportunity to see how we perform against a side with a little more experience. Can we stay true to our own game, even when the pace gets higher?

Three nations, three stages

What’s beautiful about this training campaign is that each country is at a different stage in its development:

  • Nepal: on the rise, compact, and dangerous on the counter.

  • Chinese Taipei: experienced and technically strong.

  • Indonesia: full of talent and hungry to grow.

We meet each other at just the right time. Everyone’s building towards something. Everyone’s pushing forward.

Looking ahead to the SEA Games

The SEA Games 2025 in Thailand are getting closer. Our goal is clear: to show that Indonesia belongs among Asia’s best. These friendlies are the beginning of that journey, helping us build chemistry, test new combinations, and most importantly, grow in confidence.

And for me personally? Every minute on the pitch is a chance to learn, to enjoy, and to become better.

Jogjakarta, we’re coming

Jogjakarta will soon be the stage for two special matches. Not only for us as a team, but for all the fans who are helping women’s football in Indonesia grow. Their energy and passion, we feel it in every training session, every match.

We don’t just want to win. We want to inspire. To show that dreams are achievable, step by step, match by match.
